I need to have surgery on my nose but I am scared I am going to die :( can anyone share their experiences?

Or tell me how likely it is to die from surgery??
My operation should take 1-2 hours.
How can surgery cause you to die?? Is it from blood loss and reaction to anaesthesia or something else?
